Too busy?

It's so easy for me to get too busy. Too busy doing what's urgent to focus on what's important. Such has been my week. So many little jobs to do. So many details. So many i's to dot and t's to cross.

But it's Thanksgiving week. And I have so much to be thankful for. To be honest, I think I'm too busy NOT to be thankful. I'm too busy NOT to pray.

All is safely gathered in

God, our Maker, doth provide

For our wants to be supplied:

We ourselves are God's own field,

Wheat and tares together sown,

Unto joy or sorrow grown.

First the blade, and then the ear,

Then the full corn shall appear:

Lord of harvest, grant that we

Wholesome grain and pure may be.

Even so, Lord, quickly come

To Thy final harvest home.

Gather Thou Thy people in,

Free from sorrow, free from sin.

There, forever purified,

In Thy presence to abide,

Come with all Thine angels, come

Raise the glorious harvest home.
