I'm so glad you linked it up, Richella! You are so right (I just typed write)...I'm in a season. And you are as well. It is so important to remember this sentiment. I cannot hear it enough. Thank you!!
*sniff* I know my son will be that big all too soon. (He'll be 7 on May 2nd). So even though now he gets on my nerves with all of his little army men and cars every where, I know it won't last forever and when he's big, I'll miss this. Thanks for the reminder today. :)
So hard to immagine on the early end of childhood - thanks for the ecouragement, it's crazy for me to immagine what my little guys will be like/look like as young men.
Every season can be so wonderful, I just wish there was a way to remember every single moment of them. My girls are young adults now and it's wonderful to have them as friends and to see them making good choices. Blessings on your sweet son!
oooh, way to tug at my heart strings, Miss Richella!!! ;)
I love to see the photos though. A picture is worth a thousand words, sometimes. It's plain to see how much your son loves you. :)
I wish you could be at the VA Bloggers Get-Together too!! I am planning on going down to Siler City next month to see my Nannie. I'll have to let you know when...maybe we could have coffee or something. :)
Typing my reply through tears! I'm 3 years into sending my redhead to college 9 hours away. Trust me, your relationship with your son and your Father will grow sweeter. You can do it! That is what chocolate and texting is for!
How is this possible? It happens so fast. Like Emily, I need reminders {which is one of the best reasons to "unwrap"...it's a way of reminding myself.} I have no doubt you have trained them well. They are blessed boys.
it is wonderful advice to offer... and the reward is in the taking of it. becuase i can feel the years passing like the wind whipping against my face. and oh how i would love to hold back the hands of time for just a few hours more.
Time does fly by doesn't it? I can remember when my 17 1/2 year old was just a baby...and my 12 1/2 year old daughter....and even my toddler. It goes by so fast!
Oh so very true! My oldest is just about 17--i am starting to treasure his time here at home. Thanks for your sweet blog comments about my paint technique tute.
I would love to send you a pic of our son. He has the same color hair as your son, ruddy cheeks, gentle smile. Although not as tall, he is still growing. How right you are! And what a delight when someone comments on how respectful your child is. I know I could not do it without my loving Saviour to guide me everyday. It is only by His grace that we can train up our children to love Him and follow Him!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I read every one; they make my day. If you have a specific question, please be sure your email address is attached to your profile or leave your email address in the comment; I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Every blessing!

ReplyDeleteThe first one is the hardest. Then they elope and run off to Pennsylvania...2 weeks after they graduate from college:) (Just teasing)
ReplyDeleteYou grow as they grow and it is amazing to see them apart from you; yet still a part of you.
