I suppose it nearly always begins with striking a match or pouring on the kerosene or knocking over the candle. Sometimes we start our suffering but aren't there times when the fires just spread to include us?
Anyway it happens God hears our call. Always. Thanks be to God.
Sometimes for me the matches are so innocent looking...a TV show that isn't a BAD TV show, just a distraction, for example. Thanks for a beautiful reminder.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I read every one; they make my day. If you have a specific question, please be sure your email address is attached to your profile or leave your email address in the comment; I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Every blessing!
Child of God, apprentice to Jesus, wife of a great guy, and mom of three wonderful sons, I'm a blessed and profoundly grateful woman. I'm also a writer and speaker, and I serve on the Ministry Team and Board of Directors of Renovaré, a ministry dedicated to Christian spiritual formation.
I love blogs for the glimpses they provide into people's lives, so my blog gives you a glimpse into my life--my home, my family, my faith. My prayer is that this blog might impart some grace to you.
GReat post and perfect lesson. God Bless. Hugs, Marty
