Back to regular life

Bring back those lazy, hazy, crazy days of Christmas. . .

Those days of egg nog, and candy, and cheer.

Bring back those lazy, hazy, crazy days of Christmas--
You'll wish that Christmas could always be here!

Anyone else having trouble adjusting to being back to "normal"?

  1. {Raising hand} Me! Me! It's been really hard for me to get out of bed when the alarm goes off. I think I'm going to have to retrain myself to go to sleep early. ;)

  2. Oh yes - and to make it even harder BBC doesn't go back to school until tomorrow. We did get up at early the past two days to sort of simulate a routine. Happy New Year!

  3. Oh yes! I just love the Christmas season and all the glitter and shine. I also enjoy being off work for 2 whole weeks!

I'm slowly trying to get back in the swing of things.....5:30 am gets here too early!

  4. Slightly......I love the freedom and festivities of Christmas. Yet, on the other hand I do like the normalcy of early January.

  5. TOTALLY!!! I am still taking Christmas things down! We put so much into it and it is such a shame to take it all down after a month. I think it should run through January. I love the fact that people seem happier at Christmas and seem to take more time to think about Jesus and the reason for the season. That part should last all year!

  6. School started back today. One day back and I feel like I never left. It was definitely hard to get up when the alarm clock rang and to know that there would be very little free time available today. This four day school week will make me appreciate the weekend!

  8. Normal?!? I felt like I was still putting things up just last week and now it all comes down. And every surface in the house needs to be cleaned and purged AND we are leaving for about 13 of the next 17 days! I think we will be watching the super bowl by the light of the tree! So, I think I relate to your post!!
But in all seriousness, it was a wonderful season and I'm sure the next chapter will be just as delightful.
Happy New Year to you and your family. I enjoy your lovely blog.

  10. My decor is still up! My girls start school on the 10th and they requested I keep it up until then...Aw... So, no eggnog, but we do have a lit tree and stockings still on the fireplace.
I can stay up till 2 A.M. until Friday night, then I need to regain my composure and do regular stuff! Wahoo!
    :)

  11. I wish it was still Christmas, staying home all day and just knitting and letting Kristen play with her Daddy was so much fun. Watching movies together, baking cookies, I miss it all... can't wait for December!!
