September has come. It is hers
Whose vitality leaps in the autumn,
Whose nature prefers
Trees without leaves and a fire in the fireplace.
So I give her this month and the next
Though the whole of my year should be hers who has rendered already
So many of its days intolerable or perplexed
But so many more happy.
Who has left a scent on my life, and left my walls
Dancing over and over with her shadow
Whose hair is twined in all my waterfalls
And all of London littered with remembered kisses.

As soon as I feel that wonderful crisp air I am revitalized. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love fall weather, but honestly fall doesn't start in south MS until October and sometimes later:) September is still summer for us!
ReplyDeleteI love this pictures of Autumn, my favorite time of year, been a Newyorker I always loved fall. Come over and visit, I just made a fall tablescape. Have a nice weekened. FABBY

ReplyDeleteI love September.Falling in love on fall .
I think my happy clock coordinates with the school calendar, so I am happiest in late May when the year is almost over and I can look forward to a few months of peace.
ReplyDeleteWhen I retire, I think I'll truly be able to enjoy September. I love the cooler nights, the touch of change in the leaves, and that fallish feel. Around here, September weekends are full of fun events, too!
Absolutely!! As soon as the crisp evenings hit I'm a new person again.
ReplyDeleteAlthough with 100 degree temps in Indiana the last couple days it's hard to imagine at this point. :(
I do LOVE fall, but I can't get too excited about it just yet. It's still summer here. We are getting a break from the 90's and 100's we've had so much of this summer, so that's nice, but I won't be convinced it's fall until the leaves start turning. : )
ReplyDeleteI'm a fall girl. It's my favorite time of year. I think it's the most beautiful, has the best food and the cutest clothes! I always feel so energized when the temps start to drop.
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the more I love fall! I wonder if it has anything to do with hotflashes? It's just so hot in south GA these last few years. I don't remember it being this hot years ago.
ReplyDeleteI also love to decorate for fall. I love the pumpkin colors and the softness of the sunset...and yes, I do feel revitalized! Aaahhhh!
I like September because it tells me Fall is here, but I really favor October. October holds a lot of good things - fall break, the state fair, Halloween. For some reason, October is the epitome of the fall season to me. It makes me think of my favorite scents - pumpkin spice and apple cinnamon. LOVE those! Plus, I think the leaves turn more drastically in October than September. But, hey, I love fall - period. I don't care what month it is, and if I had my way it would be fall all year long. It is by far my favorite season.
ReplyDeleteWatching the leafs fall is always beautiful and amazing.
