And though the events of our Thanksgiving week put me behind schedule, it's beginning to look a little like Christmas around here.
Come, Thou long-expected Jesus
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel's Strength and Consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear Desire of every nation--
Joy of every longing heart.
Born Thy people to deliver,
Born a Child and yet a King.
Born to reign us forever,
Now Thy gracious kingdom bring.
By Thine own eternal Spirit,
Rule in all our hearts alone;
By Thine all-sufficient merit,
Raise us to Thy glorious throne.
So pretty and you are not behind. That is what I was thinking at first, too. Then I realized that because so many started so early it made us feel like we were late. It is just now the first of December!Soon Christmas decor will be up before Halloween in people's homes.
ReplyDeleteYour house looks so pretty with the C'mas decor. You got all month, how could you be late, people are coming along with the decorations everyday!

I love, love, love the wreaths on your windows! I have been wanting to do that for years, but it still hasn't happened:) I put up our stockings, advent calendar, aand decorated our front door....but that is all I've had time to do so far! We still have a ton left to do including getting a tree at some point hopefully this weekend! Have a great weekend Richella:)

ReplyDeleteI guess it's a hold over from childhood. Both parents have birthdays in December so we would wait until after my dad's birthday (today!) and decorate the house. Hubby works today, but we're 'on it' really soon, like Monday.
Richella, your home looks lovely.
Peace.
