Then I decided that I really wanted to use the metal pieces on my new front porch, so I needed something different for above the bed. But what?
I had bought a couple of cheap prints from a street vendor when Jack and I went to Paris for our 25th anniversary. I wanted to use these because of their sentimental value and because I think they're pretty, but I'd never had them framed. I hated to spend a lot of money to frame them when I'd spent so little on the prints.
Yes! Perfect fit!
In place above our bed:
Our wedding anniversary is this Friday, June 22. We'll have been married 27 years. So it only took me two years to get these framed and in place. Do you think Jack married me for my efficiency?
Your Paris prints are so pretty and having them displayed in your bedroom will be a daily reminder of your 25th anniversary trip. You certainly don't look like you could possibly be old enough to be married 27 years!
ReplyDeleteThe Paris prints are lovely & add so much to your beautiful bedroom. I really like the colors you've used in there -- very soothing.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the upcoming anniversary. We just celebrated our 43rd on the 14th. Life is wonderful!

ReplyDeleteLOL- Well, that depends- You must be good at SOMETHING- even it isn't your efficiency! I'd say you were pretty darned good at decorating...and that you have a great eye for pulling things together. Weren't you thrilled when those prints fit so perfectly? I have 4 or 5 things I need to frame- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHehe! 2 years is probably quicker than I would have gotten them up. Those prints are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI know I shouldn't be surprised about this . . . but your bed looks almost exactly like ours. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the prints, and I think they look great there. A long time ago my husband and I started collecting prints wherever we traveled (most of the time). We have them framed and hanging in our upstairs hallway, and I sometimes just stop and look at them, remembering all the fun times we've had in those places.
The pictures are perfect...and as someone said..."a daily reminder of your 25th wedding anniversary trip".
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom looks so peaceful and serene. I love it Richella.
