Grace at Home No. 395

Hello, friends! Time for the Grace at Home party, where we celebrate all the ways we make our homes places of grace.

This past week was a special one for me: I celebrated my 57th birthday! I am grateful that I got to enjoy a special dinner (at a restaurant! Wow!!) with my husband and two of my three sons. (My oldest son is now stationed on Whidbey Island in Washington State, so he couldn't be here.)

Here's a photo of Jack and me. Would you believe we've now been married 35 years?!

And here I am with two of my "boys." (Funny how I always call my sons "the boys," even though they're all adults now.)

In this crazy time of global pandemic, a birthday is not something to be taken for granted, is it?

Now for a few highlights from last week's party.

Have some planters that are looking tired after the long summer? Pam at Busy Lifestyle Gal shows you how to transition those to beautiful fall planters for just a few dollars.

Need a desk for a small room? Check out this fold-down desk from Stacey Risenmay at Not Just A Housewife.

Want a fun decoration for your front door? Check out this wreath from Kathy at Petticoat Junktion--made from a purse!

Looking for a fun new dinner recipe? You may want to try making this stuffed meatball pasta from Estelle at Homemade on a Weeknight.

Do you ever struggle to forgive yourself for mistakes from your past? Then you'll be glad to read this post from Dr. Michelle Bengtson at Hope Prevails.

Thank you to everyone who joined last week's party!

Now for today's party.  Here at the Grace at Home party, I invite you to link posts about
  • DIY projects
  • decorating
  • recipes
  • hospitality
  • homemaking tips
  • parenting
  • marriage
  • faith
  • self-care
  • soul care
Whatever you do to make your home a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it.  Here's what I ask of you.  Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page.  Please let people know that you've linked up.  No more than three posts per person, please.  Note that if you link a post here, you are giving me permission to share your post, including a photo.  And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party, and during these difficult times, it can really make someone's day!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  5. I still call my sons the boys, too.
    So silly.
At least in my writing I have consciously called them my sons. 😁
