Hello friends! It's nearly the middle of March, and I am so grateful to tell you that, after weeks of nothing but gray skies and rain, we've been luxuriating in the sunshine!
It's amazing to me how much difference it makes to my spirits to experience the sunshine. I'm never a fan of hot weather, and I'm always so glad for the autumn to arrive after our long, humid summers. . . but even though I know summer's on its way, I'm grateful to see blue skies again. As a person who does most of her working and playing indoors with not only a roof over my head but also with central heat and air, I find it fascinating how much the weather affects my mood. How about you?
Whatever the weather, I'm so glad you're here for the Grace at Home party, where we celebrate all the ways we make our homes places of grace. Here are some features from last week I hope you'll enjoy.
Even if it's too early to have flowers growing in your garden, you can welcome springtime with flowers from the grocery store. Libbie from A Life Unfolding shares five easy ways to elevate dollar store vases so that you can display those flowers beautifully.
And you can welcome springtime with faux flowers, too—Carole from Blue Sky at Home shows you how to use these to full advantage.
If you're like me, springtime makes you want to get the house nice and clean and incorporate some new ideas for managing life—so you'll be glad to get some tips from Jenn at The Everyday Farmhouse.
And if your spring cleaning plans include some closet organizing, you'll be glad to get some ideas from MaryJo at Master"Pieces" of My Life.
Want to set a special table for St. Patrick's Day but don't have any special decorations? Shelley from Calypso in the Country to the rescue! Such good ideas here.
And if you want a special snack for St. Patrick's Day, Amy from Heritage Home Ec can help—check out this green caramel corn!
Itching to plant some flowers but don't have any containers? Chas from Chas' Crazy Creations shares some wonderful ideas for using household items to hold plants.
And if you need some encouragement for your soul today, I highly recommend this post from Pam at A Different Lens.

Whatever you do to make your home a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it. Here's what I ask of you. Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page. Please let people know that you've linked up. No more than three posts per person, please. Note that if you link a post here, you are giving me permission to share your post, including a photo. And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party, and during these difficult times, it can really make someone's day!

ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more on how the weather impacts the psyche! For me, spring is my favorite season, and while I enjoy fall, I look to it as knowing my least favorite season (winter) soons follows, much how you see summer after spring. One thing's for certain - luxuriating in the sunshine was a real blessing this past week! Thank you for the party, Richella.
