Grace at Home No. 439

Happy Autumn!

I'm always so grateful when the Autumnal Equinox finally graces our calendars. Since I live in North Carolina, the end of summer brings a sigh of relief. What's it like in your neck of the woods?

This past week was a very special one for me. I got to travel to Washington to spend time with my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. I intended to post on Instagram as I went along, but once I got to their house I didn't want to take my eyes off this little fellow:

Now I'm back home and I'm having serious grandson withdrawal!

But today I'm so happy to welcome you to the Grace at Home party, where we celebrate all the ways we make our homes and spheres of influence places of grace and beauty. Here are some highlights from last week's party.

Are you looking for fall decorating inspiration? Then visit Marty at A Stroll Thru Life! She shares a tour of her home decorated for fall, plus she hosts a tour of homes that will amaze you.

Need some fall artwork for your decorating? Julie at My Wee Abode offers beautiful watercolor printables absolutely free!

If the onset of Autumn makes you want to warm up your space, you might be thinking of buying a rug. Kathryn at The Dedicated House has seven questions to ask yourself before you make the purchase.

Does the transition to fall make you long for pumpkin spice? Then you'll want to try this pumpkin bread recipe!

Want to add a bit of fall to your cooking but trying to avoid baked goods? Try this Apple-Carrot Coleslaw recipe from Nancy at NancyC

One of the habits I'm trying to cultivate is cutting down on the amount of trash I generate. The kitchen is a great place to start, I think, so I was glad to get these tips for cutting down on food waste from Raquel at Meals and Mile Markers.

If you find yourself in need of some faith-building soul nourishment, I encourage you to read this post from Lisa at Lisa Notes.

Thank you to everyone who linked up!

Now for today's party.  Here at the Grace at Home party, you can link up any post you've written that demonstrates how you're filling your space with truth, goodness, and beauty. I invite you to link posts about
  • DIY projects
  • decorating
  • recipes
  • hospitality
  • homemaking tips
  • parenting
  • marriage
  • faith
  • self-care
  • soul care
Whatever you do to make your home or sphere of influence a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it. Here's what I ask of you.  Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page.  Please let people know that you've linked up.  No more than three posts per person, please.  Note that if you link a post here, you are giving me permission to share your post, including a photo.  And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  3. Your grandson is adorable! Thanks for hosting and for sharing him with us. :) I really enjoyed this weeks features, as well. I appreciated reading Lisa's post and can't wait to try Nancy's coleslaw recipe. It reminds me of one I used to get at a local restaurant and I always enjoyed it.
