Grace at Home No. 440

Hello, friends! I am so glad to welcome you to the Grace at Home party.

Years ago, link parties were a huge part of blogging. These days, they've faded a bit in importance, but I still like them. It's my pleasure to host this one, where we celebrate all the ways we make our homes and spheres of influence places of grace and beauty.

Here are some highlights from last week's party.

Now that we're actually into the season of Autumn, are you decorating with pumpkins? I am!

Julie at My Wee Abode developed a detailed tutorial for creating velvet pumpkins.

For a more rustic look, Carol from Blue Sky at Home shared detailed instructions for creating these darling rope and twine pumpkins.

And Shelley at Calypso in the Country came up with a simple method for painting buffalo plaid pumpkins, and she shows us how step by step.

Need a fun accent piece for your Fall decor? Paula from Sweet Pea teaches you how to make this cute wood bead garland.

Even if you're not crafty, you can create one of these pretty Fall trees. Penny from Penny's Vintage Home shows you how!

And if you want to create a pretty mantelscape for the season, Denise at My Home of All Seasons will show you how in six easy steps.

Ready to do some Fall baking? Check out this farmhouse buttermilk cake from Nancy at Nancy C.

And homemade biscuits sound so wonderful for a crisp Fall morning. . . check out this easy recipe from A Day of Small Things!

Are you in need of some soul nourishment? You won't want to miss this post from Michele Morin at Living Our Days. Michele is a such a wonderful writer, and her words will fill you with hope.

Thank you to everyone who linked up!

Now for today's party.  Here at the Grace at Home party, you can link up any post you've written that demonstrates how you're filling your space with truth, goodness, and beauty. I invite you to link posts about
  • DIY projects
  • decorating
  • recipes
  • hospitality
  • homemaking tips
  • parenting
  • marriage
  • faith
  • self-care
  • soul care
Whatever you do to make your home or sphere of influence a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it. Here's what I ask of you.  Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page.  Please let people know that you've linked up.  No more than three posts per person, please.  Note that if you link a post here, you are giving me permission to share your post, including a photo.  And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. I know what you mean about linkups. There were so many of them a few years ago. I stopped linking at some just because of time. It's hard to be a good guest and visit so many other blogs. Not because I don't enjoy visiting and commenting but like many out there, there never seems to be enough time to peruse like I would enjoy. :( But I do always enjoy yours! Blessings!

  5. Without sounding too old, I love the linky parties because they do feel like community outside of social media. Your community here feels authentic and I can always picture guests, posters and commenters enjoying time spent here finding new ways to express their creativity and bring joy to daily life. Such a gift! Best, Jen

  15. When I started my first blog in like 2010, link-up parties were all the rage. And I loved meeting new people and finding interesting blogs. As a matter of fact, my best friend is someone I met via a blog teacup swap...lol. Now they have slowed down. I think a big part is that many people used them as a springboard to monetize their "brands' and then they stopped doing them. I for one love them, and enjoy catching up on my favorite blogs on the weekend.

  16. Link parties are one of my favorite things! And I look forward to visiting them because I find so many great posts that I wouldn't otherwise come across. I have made quite the numbers of friends through them as well. It makes me so sad that so many parties are ending, but so happy to have this one to visit. Thanks so much for hosting!
