Friends, it's August! The dog days of summer are officially here, aren't they?
And yet, even as we're at this very hot time of year, kids are starting back to some of the schools in this area. So we make it through the hot days, and look forward to the cooler days of autumn.
I'm so glad to welcome you to the Grace at Home party, where we celebrate all the ways we make our homes places of grace. Here are a few features from last week's party.
Have an old dresser that needs to be updated? Here's some inspiration from Angela at Simply Beautiful by Angela.
Want to decorate your home to mark the back-to-school season? Laura from Me and My INKlings created a wreath from rulers and gives great instructions for making your own.
Need a teacher gift for the first of school? Emily from Hunny I'm Home DIY has some great ideas and free printables for you.
Are you trying to savor these last days of summer? Maybe you'd like to plan a family movie night (or nights)! Benjamin and Charlene from Hess Un-Academy share 100 family movies that won't drive adults crazy.
Do you have an abundance of basil in your garden or your patio pots right now? I do, so I was glad to get this recipe for Fresh Basil Oil from Mary at Pots and Planes.
Thank you to everyone who linked up! Now for today's party.
Here at the Grace at Home party, you can link up any post you've written that demonstrates how you're filling your space with truth, goodness, and beauty. I invite you to link posts about

- soul care
Whatever you do to make your home or sphere of influence a place of grace, I'd like to hear about it. Here's what I ask of you. Please include the permalink to your post, not your blog's home page. Please let people know that you've linked up. No more than three posts per person, please. Note that if you link a post here, you are giving me permission to share your post, including a photo. And visit at least one of the other party participants--that's what really makes it a party!
Thanks so much for hosting, Richella. Stay cool on these August days!
